Hunting and collecting wild
Turkeys has always been a challenge to wing-shooters.
In the last few seasons avid Turkey hunters, & most
definitely collectors, have had the opportunity to complete
their collections by traveling to the Yucatan Peninsula
of "Old Mexico", for the most beautiful of all,
the "Ocellated Turkey". Colors on the Ocellated
are as vivid as any wild Ringed-necked Pheasant. Skin
of the head and neck is a bright blue covered with red
wart-like growths. |

Feather colors feature irridescent gold, bronze, green,
and blue. Tail feathers are bluish-gray, and tipped
in bright gold. However, the tail feathers feature a
round spot of blue-bronze that looks like an eye, most
unusual, and definitely beautiful. Other features of
Ocellated are they sing and do not gobble and are beard-less.
Our experienced Mayan guides will take you into the
jungle in the early morning to stalk or utilize a camo
blind. Turkeys are pre-scouted so collecting your beautiful
trophy is 100% during your stay. If you wish to return
with a turkey for mounting caping & refrigeration
services are available.
In order to collect your turkey grand slam, the collection
of an Oscellated Turkey is the most difficult in the
jungles of Yucatan.
